Lady Eagles Tennis Falls to Pope John, 3-2

SPARTA, NJ – The Morris Knolls girls tennis team lost a 3-2 decision to Pope John at Pope John on Tuesday, Oct. 1, as the Lady Lions picked up their first victory of the season.

Second-singles senior Abigail Hsu and the second-doubles team of seniors Gabriella King and Beatrize Labing-isa scored the two team points for Knolls, Hsu winning her match, 6-0, 6-4; and the King/Labing-isa duo also winning in straight sets, 6-1, 6-0.

Knolls is now 2-11 overall and 1-8 in the North Jersey Athletic Conference’s National Division. Pope John is 1-9 overall and in the NJAC-National.
