    Lady Eagles swept in Volleyball

    FLEMINGTON, NJ – Morris Knolls and Hunterdon Central met in a best-of-five match Wednesday, Oct. 2, at Hunterdon with the home team sweeping to a 3-0 victory in high school girls volleyball.

    The Lady Eagles kept it close in the first set with Central holding on for a 25-18 victory, but it was all Central after that as the home team won the next two sets, 25-10, and 25-11, to complete the sweep.

    Stat leaders for the Lady Eagles included: senior Bri Finley led the team in digs with 10; junior Olga Rostek had nine kills and six digs; and senior Ariana Urgiles finished with nine assists.

    The loss saw Morris Knolls’ overall season record dip to 5-9 while its North Jersey Athletic Conference Division record remained at 1-5. Hunterdon Central is 12-2 overall and leading the Delaware Division of the Skyland Conference with an 8-0 record.
