NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ — Jakir Thomas scored three touchdowns to lead the Carteret Rambersto a 29-8 football victory over New Brunswick on Friday night.

Thomas had touchdown runs of 23 and 25 yards in the opening quarter as the Ramblers (3-3) opened a 23-0 lead.

Eric Thompson's 33-yard TD pass to Darius Armstrong in that first quarter followed by Al-Naiquan Boseman's two-point conversion run made the score 16-0.

Thomas went in on a 1-yard TD run in the second quarter, as Carteret did all its scoring before halftime. He finished with 161 yards on 10 carries.
