Kenilworth's David Brearley Scholars’ Academy Application Update from Acting Principal

KENILWORTH, NJ - Please see the following message regarding the graduation class of 2025 from Acting Principal of David Brearley Middle High School, Madelyn Pavelchak.

Dear 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade Parents/Guardians,
I am reaching out to share a great opportunity for our students as they prepare to attend DBMHS as a 7th, 8th, or 9th grader next year. That opportunity is the DB Scholars' Academy, which provides accepted students with a highly rigorous academic program. Please review this DBMHS Scholars’ Academy Presentation for more information about programming and eligibility. I encourage you to have a conversation with your child about their interest in this great opportunity and then consider having them apply. The application can be found on our website or is linked here.
Here are some key dates to keep in mind:
• November 13, 6pm: Choice Program/Scholars’ Academy Parent Info Night
• November 25: Application submission deadline with all required materials. Note: Incomplete applications will not be considered.
• December 7: Entrance examination date. Note: Only students who meet all eligibility requirements will be invited to test.
• December 21: Notice of conditional acceptance, rejection, or wait list. Regardless of your child’s future academic programming, we look forward to supporting all of our students to reach their full potential!
