Vinny's Pizza & Pasta Cranford Athletes of the Week: Kendrick Shaw and Olivia Torsone

CRANFORD, NJ - Congratulations to this week's Cranford High School Athletes of the Week, Kendrick Shaw and Olivia Torsone !

Shaw, a senior captain of the boys' soccer team, has been the key component of a defense that has been strong all season.  As a center back, he helped hold Rahway to a shutout and only conceded one goal in each game vs. Linden & David Brearley. Torsone, a junior on the varsity field hockey team, has been a crucial part of the team's defense; this past week she was named the "Essex/Union Defensive player of the Week" by NJ.com.  She is extremely strong at controlling the middle of the field and had a goal line save in the team's win against Caldwell.
