    U.S. Representative Jeff Van Drew to Host field hearing in South Jersey on Tuesday at Atlantic County Institute of Technology

    SOUTHERN OCEAN COUNTY - Area residents have seen unprecedented increases in their electric bills this year.  Social media is overflowing with stories of people having $1,000 electric bills.  The real issue is that, no matter the cost, these increases are making it very difficult for area residents.

    Tomorrow, area U.S. Congressman Van Drew will host a field hearing in South Jersey at 3:30 PM ET, titled "An Examination into Surging Power Bills in South Jersey."

    Some residents in the area have reported increases of up to 400%. This hearing of Members of Congress will bring together community leaders and energy policy experts to determine the causes of these surging power bills. This hearing will also review local, state, and national energy policy with Members of Congress from across the country participating.
