ROSELLE PARK, NJ - How many cannolis can you eat? If you think you've got a stomach of steel, plan to challenge your neighbors at the Italian Heritage Festival on Oct. 19 complete with a cannoli eating contest.

The event is also slated to have a wine garden, featuring live music. For the whole family, there will be food trucks and attractions aimed at sharing Italian culture with people of all ages and backgrounds.

“As a first-generation Italian-American, I am honored and grateful to be able to bring the Italian Heritage Festival to Roselle Park,” said Third Ward Councilmember Rosanna Lyons. “Many Italian immigrants established a community here and brought along their traditions to Roselle Park, including gardening, wine making, and annual sauce making."

The event is free and open to the public from 5 - 9 p.m. at Michael J. Mauri Park. “We are excited to bring people together to enjoy and appreciate the beauty of Italian traditions and contributions,” said Mayor Joseph Signorello III.
