Easton Field Hockey Downs Phillipsburg 3-1 in Rivalry Showdown at Lafayette College

PHILLIPSBURG, NJ - Zoe Angelinas and Arianna Deliso scored goals for Easton in the first and second quarters to give the Red Rovers a two-goal lead going into halftime on the way to a 3-1 victory over Phillipsburg High School in a field hockey contest between the arch-rivals on Monday at Lafayette College’s Metzgar Fields.

Senior Sophia Remian scored her sixth goal of the season on sophomore Jackie Miller’s fourth assist of the year to cut the deficit to 2-1 early in the third quarter before the Red Rovers added an insurance goal in the final quarter.

Junior goalie Jordan Nonnemacher pushed aside 12 shots for the Stateliners (4-8-1). Easton improved to 14-2-1 on the season.
