Hornets Secure Straight Sets Victory Over Lancers on Volleyball Court

LAKELAND, NJ - The Passaic Valley (PV) Hornets' girls volleyball team secured a 2-0 victory over the Lakeland Lancers on Monday. The Hornets took the first two sets convincingly, winning 25-11 and 25-15.

Alina Ferguson led the charge for PV with six kills, while also contributing two aces and four digs. Her offensive prowess was complemented by Klea Gerollari’s strong playmaking, as the setter recorded 13 assists in the match. Ferguson, along with Tatyana Corprew, kept the Lancers' defense on their toes with powerful spikes, as Corprew also added six kills and an ace to the team’s tally.

The Hornets' defense was equally impressive, with Kacey DiPasquale holding down the backline, tallying seven digs to keep Lakeland’s scoring opportunities at bay. Despite the Lancers' best efforts, they were unable to mount a significant challenge, leaving the Hornets to control the pace throughout both sets.

Passaic Valley now improves to 9-4 on the season.
