CLARK, NJ — The Arthur L. Johnson boys varsity soccer team has had a successful season so far, with some big wins (a double-overtime victory against Governor Livingston on September 19) and a few very close losses . The team, under the direction of longtime head coach Dan House, extended its record to 7-4, playing a great game against Brearley (4-4-1) this past Monday.

Coming off two consecutive losses, the boys headed to Kenilworth on October 7, ready to turn the momentum in their favor.

And it didn't take long, as junior Marco Meirinho put one in the net within the first 15 minutes of the game.

His teammate, senior Dylan Cesare, added one of his own soon after to give the Crusaders a 2-0 lead at the half.

Assists came from seniors Aria Molaie and Julian Ramos.

In the second half, Johnson continued to dominate, holding possession and frustrating Brearley's efforts to turn it around in their favor.
