    DENVILLE, NJ – The Morris Knolls girls tennis team broke a seven-match losing streak with a convincing 5-0 victory over winless Boonton in a high school match held on Tuesday, Oct. 8, at Knolls.

    The Lady Eagles are now 3-13 overall and 1-10 in the Northwest Jersey Athletic Conference. Boonton is 0-10 for the season and 0-8 in the NJAC’s Independence Division.

    No. 1 singles senior Shannon Christal had the closest victory of the day for the Lady Eagles, winning her match in straight sets, 6-4 and 6-4.

    Senior Abigail Hsu won at No. 2 singles, 6-4 and 6-1; and senior Anaya Shah won her No. 3 singles match, 6-1 and 6-0.

    In doubles, the No. 1 team of sophomore Wendy Graziani and junior Kendyl Croft won in straight sets, both by the score of 6-0; and the No. 2 team of seniors Gabriella King and Beatrize Lahing-isa also won in straight sets, 6-1 and 6-1.
