    Asbury Park Library Announces Exciting Lineup of October Events for All Ages

    ASBURY PARK, NJ - The Asbury Park Public Library has announced its October schedule, filled with activities for both children and adults. From creative crafting sessions for kids to enriching book clubs for adults, there’s something for everyone this fall.

    The Junior Room will be bustling with events like Storytime Wednesdays (12:30 PM - 1:00 PM) featuring weekly themes such as "Hats" (Oct. 2), "Eggs" (Oct. 9), and a Halloween-themed story on Oct. 30. No registration is required, and all ages are welcome.

    Crafting enthusiasts aged 5-12 can look forward to creating Painted Rock Monsters (Oct. 11) and TP Roll Frankensteins (Oct. 18), while teens will have their own special Teen Makerspace sessions, including Glass Bead Bracelets in honor of Indigenous Peoples’ Day (Oct. 10).

    To wrap up the month, the library will host a Halloween Party on Oct. 30 at 3:30 PM featuring crafts, a poetry challenge, and a screening of *Hotel Transylvania*.

    Adult Programming

    Adults can participate in the Fall/Winter Mutual Aid Drive beginning Oct. 1, as well as join ongoing clubs like the No Pressure Book Club and Crochet Club. Special events include a talk with local author Gina Economopoulos on Oct. 26 and a monthly Queer Book Club meeting to discuss "Rainbow Black" by Maggie Thrash on Oct. 28.
