Belmar Councilwoman Hosts Successful Cornhole Tournament, Raises $20,000 for New Softball Field

LAKE COMO, NJ - This past Sunday, Belmar Councilwoman Caitlin Donovan hosted a Cornhole Tournament Fundraiser at Bar Anticipation to raise funds for a new softball field in Belmar. The event was a resounding success, with over $20,000 raised. Donovan expressed her gratitude, saying, "Teamwork makes the dream work. Thanks you to everyone who came out, donated, and tossed some bags to help get us to our goal."

In a major boost for the project, an anonymous donor has pledged to match all contributions up to $50,000, and Donovan called on the community for further support. Donations can still be made at www.belmarsoftball.squarespace.com .
