BERNARDSVILLE, NJ - Ari Rosen, a senior at Bernards High School, has been recognized by the school as the “Everyday Hero” for October.

Nominees for the monthly Everyday Hero Program are students who have a positive influence on the student body through exemplary qualities. Selected students inspire others, are responsible and respectable and have a commitment to peers and the school community. Students are nominated by one or more teachers, selected by the Everyday Hero committee and announced schoolwide by either Principal Scott Neigel, or Assistant Principal Mike Corbett.

This month's BHS student is a true reflection of what it means to be an everyday hero for his classmates. Ari’s interest in making the BHS community better than when he arrived here is evident in his daily interactions with students, teachers, coaches and administration. When he is not on the sidelines photographing the athletes of Bernards High School, he can be found leading the Student Council efforts, creating podcasts and video packages for the Crimson, serving as a Co-Editor-in-Chief for the Crimson online and print paper, or getting his head shaved for the St. Baldrick's fundraiser last year. In each of these roles, he focuses on making other people shine and drawing attention to people and issues that deserve recognition. Ari is a champion at featuring other students' accomplishments and is deserving of the recognition being placed on him in return!
