    Elizabeth Non-Profit’s Annual 5k Is Coming To Roselle

    ROSELLE, NJ - The Friends of the Child Advocacy Center of Union County is hosting its 7th Annual Race 4 The Children 5k on Sunday, October 20th, 2024 at 9 a.m. in Warinanco Park. All proceeds of the race will be directed to the Child Advocacy Center of Union County.

    “The Race 4 The Children represents our community coming together for a cause that truly matters—the safety, healing, and protection of our children,” Union County Commissioner Chairwoman Kimberly Palmieri-Mouded said in a news release. “By supporting the Child Advocacy Center of Union County, we are making a difference in the lives of vulnerable young victims, ensuring they receive the care and resources they deserve. I encourage everyone to participate, whether running, walking, or cheering from the sidelines—your support can change a child’s life.”

    Elizabeth Mayor Christian Bollwage is proud to have the City of Elizabeth co-sponsor this event.

    "As Mayor of the City of Elizabeth, we are proud to sponsor and support The Friends of the Child Advocacy Center of Union County in their 7th Annual 5k Race,” Bollwage said in a news release. “This event brings our community together for an important cause—helping protect and support the most vulnerable among us. By raising funds for the Child Advocacy Center, we are ensuring that every child gets the care they deserve.”

    Registration is $35 and includes a t-shirt. The top three runners will receive a Visa gift card, valued at $250 for first place, $150 for second place, and $100 for third place. Online registration is available until October 17. On-site registration is also available the morning of the race, starting at 8 a.m. To register online, click here .

    The Child Advocacy Center of Union County, based in Elizabeth, provides wrap-around investigative, prosecutorial, psychological, medical, and mental health services to young victims of physical and sexual abuse.
