Seat Vacant on Roselle Park Board of Education

ROSELLE PARK, NJ - A term on the local board of education that expires at the end of the year is open and accepting letters of interest from prospective appointees until Oct. 15. The current board members will have the opportunity to review applications, interview candidates and make an appointment at an upcoming meeting.

To become a school board member, an individual must:

• Be a United States citizen
• Be a resident of the district for at least one year prior to appointment
• Be able to read and write
• Be a registered voter in the district
• Not be disqualified as a voter or convicted of certain crimes

Members may not be the mayor or a member of the municipal governing body and cannot have a direct, or indirect, contract with or claim against the board.

Letters of interest and resumes will be accepted until 5 p.m. on Oct. 15 by Business Administrator Patricia Mawer at 510 Chestnut St., Roselle Park, NJ 07204 or email pmawer@rpsd.org .
