    ISELIN, NJ – Richie Trotman passed for three touchdowns to lead JFK of Iselin to a 39-26 football victory over North Plainfield on Thursday night.

    After a 7-yard touchdown run by Fiheem Howell Jr. gave the Mustangs (3-4) a 6-0 first-quarter lead, Trotman threw a 23-yard TD pass to Zack Tyler and Manny Perez-Quijano kicked the extra point for a 13-0 lead heading into the second period.

    North Plainfield got within five, 13-8, on a touchdown and a two-point conversion, but Howell's second TD of the game from 1 yard out and Trotman's 28-yard TD aerial to Grant Lorentzen put JFK in front, 26-8, before halftime.

    Perez-Quijano ran 2 yards for a TD in the third quarter, and Trotman connected with Julius King on a 10-yard scoring pass in the fourth quarter.

    The Mustangs will play at Middlesex next Friday, Oct. 18.
