Football: Ridge Defeats Hunterdon Central, 41-13

FLEMINGTON, NJ -- Senior fullback Aidan Stieglitz rushed for five touchdowns to lead Ridge to a 41-13 football victory over Hunterdon Central on Thursday night.

Stieglitz carried nine times for 115 yards for Ridge (5-1), which won its fifth straight game. Ridge had a 34-0 lead at halftime.

Ridge led, 21-0, after one quarter. Stieglitz ran for touchdowns of 48, 6 and 19 yards in the opening quarter. In the second quarter, Connor McLachlan threw a 48-yard TD pass to Joseph Dachnowicz and Stieglitz took a carry 8 yards for another score.

Hunterdon Central (4-3) got on the board in the third quarter on Andrew Cella's 11-yard TD pass to a leaping James Mongno in the right corner of the end zone. It was Mongno's seventh touchdown reception of the season.

Cella went deep for a 68-yard TD pass to Devon Marrero in the fourth quarter.
