Union High School's Athletes of the Month - September

UNION, NJ - Union High School's September Athletes of the Month are:

• George Asante
• Tracy Tran
• Samantha Haug
• Courtney Lamadieu

Asante , a senior, is a three-year starter and captain of the boys soccer team.  He has one goal and one assist as a defenseman. His strong play is the reason the team only gave up three goals in the last five games. Asante is also a member of the Union High School Athletic Leadership Council.

Tran is a senior at Union High School and a two-year starter on the girls tennis team.   Last year she played in first Doubles and finished 5-2 and in Singles finishing 6-3. This year, as a senior, she competes in second Singles and currently has a record of 7-7. Tran is one of the top 20 students in the Union High School Senior Class. She is also a member of the Union High School Athletic Leadership Council.

Haug is a three-year member of the girls volleyball team. As a senior this season,
Haug has 74 kills and 90 service points. Currently, in her Union High School career she
has 214 kills and 219 service points.

As a freshman starting on the Union High School girls soccer team, Lamadieu brings a passion and work ethic not seen in many younger athletes. She has one goal and two assists in the month of September.
