NORTH CALDWELL, NJ – The West Essex girls soccer team prevailed in a 3-1 decision over Newark East Side on Thursday.

Logan Goldstein scored one goal and assisted on another for West Essex (8-3-2) and Brooke Balzano posted two assists. It was Goldstein's first goal of the season, though she leads West Essex in assists with five.

Jayla Walton and Deia Spritzer both scored goals and Ashley Suhey made three saves for the Lady Knights.
