MORRISTOWN, NJ - A fundraiser will be taking place on Saturday, October 12 from 11am -3pm at the Homestead Bar and Kitchen, during their Oktoberfest, to raise money to support one of Morristown’s Bravest, Omar White.

White  has been diagnosed with T-Cell Lymphoma, which has necessitated extensive medical treatment and ongoing care.

Mary Dougherty has set up a table at Saturday's event and will be accepting donations to benefit White during  this challenging time.

“Several years back, my brother was diagnosed with lymphoma, and I realized the importance of family and friends coming together to help our loved ones through this. I’m also eternally grateful for the people that went ahead of us to make my brother's recovery possible”, said Dougherty. “When I heard of Omar‘s illness, I was moved to help in the way others have helped my family”.

“To assist with the financial burden associated with Omar’s treatment and recovery, FMBA has launched a fundraising campaign”, explained Dougherty. “Our goal is to raise funds to help cover medical expenses, rehabilitation costs, and any support his family may need”.

“Your generous contribution would make a significant impact and provide much-needed relief during this difficult period”, she said.
