GARFIELD, NJ – Hasbrouck Heights defeated Garfield, 6-0, in a NJIC Meadowlands girls soccer game on Thursday afternoon behind two goals from Alvia Mazza, and an unusual double from Tessa Reyngoudt. Hasbrouck Heights improved to 11-2 overall and 7-0 in the Meadowlands, while Garfield fell to 5-9 and 0-6.

Reyngoudt, the Lady Aviators senior goalkeeper, not only shut out Garfield in picking up the win, but scored a goal, converting on a penalty kick from 18 feet out for her first career goal. The goal, which followed Mazza’s two to open the game, gave Hasbrouck Heights a 3-0 lead in the first half. Gina Minichiello assisted on both of Mazza’s goals.
