DOYLESTOWN, PA—A 50-year-old Doylestown man has been charged with burglary, trespass and stalking after entering the house of someone he had previously had a relationship with.

On Oct. 11, the Central Bucks Regional police responded to the report of a burglary on Sandy Ridge Road in Doylestown Borough. After investigating, they determined that Jason S. Brown, who had previously been in a relationship with the homeowner and resident, had entered without permission by breaking a latch on a rear sliding door.

Brown had allegedly stolen a record player he claimed was his and wrote in the victim’s journal. Police said that they had told Brown to break off contact with the victim in May and September of 2024.

When police visited Brown’s residence to speak to him, they allegedly spotted the record player in the back of his car. Brown was taken into custody and charged with burglary, criminal trespass, stalking, harassment, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property and defiant trespass.

When Brown was unable to post bail of 10% of $150,000 with conditions, he was taken to the Bucks County Correctional Center.
