CLARK, NJ – Scotch Plains-Fanwood soccer's two top goalscorers – junior Jayvon Young and freshman Anastasio Pavlou – found the back of the net, while keeper Shawn Guzman held the opponents scoreless as the Raiders defeated Oratory Prep, 2-0, in the Union County tournament semifinal held at A.L. Johnson High School in Clark on Saturday night.

The victory means the Raiders (12-1-2) will advance to play Westfield (who else?) for the county championship next Saturday. This game is poised to become another classic in the rivalry between the Raiders and the Blue Devils. Scotch Plains-Fanwood was the number one team in the tournament and has given up just 5 regular season goals this season. Westfield (12-1-3) was responsible for Scotch Plains-Fanwood's only loss, a 1-0 overtime defeat on Oct. 8.

    Girls Soccer

Ashley Yenawine scored for Westfield (12-1), while goalkeeper Sofia Buoscio stopped all five shots she face. Joslyn Odim made eight saves for the Raiders (6-5-3).
