Union's Annual Trunk or Treat at Jefferson School

UNION, NJ - Jefferson Elementary School transformed its parking lot into a Halloween celebration for its annual Trunk or Treat event on Saturday. As a creative alternative to traditional trick or treating, the parking lot was filled with decorated car trunks that allowed trick-or-treaters to collect candy by walking from car to car.

“I’m very excited to participate in this as a local business owner,” said Ryan Samuels, owner of BuyWise.

In addition to the trunk or treating, participants were able to showcase their creativity to win a car decorating contest and costume dance party contest.  Trophies and gift cards were awarded to first, second, and third place winners.

“I’m having so much fun. Look at all the candy I got!” Said Samantha.

Jefferson’s Trunk or Treat event hosted by the Union Recreational Department was overall a success in bringing together the community in a safe environment to celebrate Halloween.
