Celebratory Ribbon Cutting Marks Grand Opening of J.Crew Factory at The Shoppes at Livingston Circle

LIVINGSTON, NJ — J.Crew Factory, where men, women and children can shop classic J.Crew styles at what the specialty retail company calls Comparable Value pricing, officially celebrated the grand opening of its latest location at The Shoppes at Livingston Circle (277 Eisenhower Parkway) on Thursday and is currently hosting a Customer Appreciation Month promotion through the end of October.

Members of the Livingston Township Council and Livingston Business Improvement District gathered for a celebratory ribbon cutting at the new facility, where Mayor Al Anthony congratulated and welcomed store director Stacie Simms and her team to Livingston’s growing business community.

“We are the same company, same great quality at J.Crew Factory as J.Crew retail, we just have a different price point,” said Simms. “That's the difference. Obviously, some of our clothing is different, but we have similar soft sweaters, our girlfriend tees and some of the jeans are similar. It’s just going to be the price point where you’ll see the big difference between us and retail.

“Everything is going to be either 40%, 50% or 60% off and then, right now, we have a clearance where whatever the ticket markdown price is, it’s an extra 70% off on top of that. There are some things in clearance that are $5 to $17, so it's a great steal for the customer.”

Simms shared that “business has been great” since the Livingston location opened in early August and has steadily picked up over the last two months. She added that the township has been extremely supportive, noting that J.Crew Factory team is already partnering with neighboring businesses at the Shoppes at Livingston Center to support each other’s events.

“This is a great family store where you can just kind of shop all around for your family,” said Simms. “We are generating tons of traffic on Saturday and even Sundays. People are coming here from Bergen, from Wayne, from Rockaway, from the swim school next door, a lot of people coming in saying, ‘We’re going to shop [at Aldi] real quick and then come in,’ so it’s just been great being here in this location.  We do have locations not that far from here, but we are seeing that this is closer for our customers, so that's why we're seeing this amazing traffic that we're getting…Everyone has been so welcoming and excited that we're here.”

Through the end of October as part of Customer Appreciation Month, customers who apply for a J.Crew Factory credit card or use their existing card will receive 20% off their purchase.
