    Sparta High School 2024 boys soccer lose H/W/S finals battle in OT to Hunterdon Central

    WASHINGTON, NJ – The Sparta boys soccer team, the second seed in the Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex tournament clashed with top seed Hunterdon Central in the finals. After two overtime sessions, Hunterdon Central came out on top 2-1.

    Playing at Warren Hills High School, each team scored in the first frame and were held scoreless through regular play and the first OT.

    The Spartans point came from Matt Torres off the assist of Andy Parreno.

    Sparta’s keeper Evan Miller had nine saves. The Spartans tested the Red Devils’ net minder four times.

    Sparta’s record is 11-2-1. Their season continues as they host Parsippany Hills on Wednesday.
