Olean Will Close Part of Independence Avenue Oct. 21

OLEAN, NY — A portion of Independence Avenue will be closed Monday while contractors work on the roadway.

According to a news release from the city's Department of Public Works, the northbound lane will be closed between West State Street and the city limits. The southbound lane will remain open while work is underway. Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes.

The work is expected to begin around 9 a.m. and last for one to two hours.
