Piscataway Police: Vehicle Crash with Train Closes S. Washington Ave. Railroad Crossing at Stelton Road

PISCATAWAY, NJ -- Piscataway police issued a mid-morning travel alert on Monday advising that a motor vehicle crash involving a train has closed the railroad crossing at S. Washington Avenue and Stelton Road in the township.
The incident has also closed the other section of Stelton Road and New Brunswick Ave., said police. Heavy traffic has been reported throughout the area.
No word yet on the cause of the collision or if any injuries were reported. Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes until further notice.
