BLOOMFIELD, NJ — The Millburn Girls Volleyball team beat Verona on Saturday at Bloomfield High Scholl 2-1. The talley was 25-23 and 25-19, and it was Millburn's first Essex County Tournament win since 2019.

Six players had kills, and Kimaya Pandit had nine — her second-most of the season, plus four blocks.

Sonya Gordon racked up five kills, while Lily Philipov, Divya Issac and Sydney Grani each had four kills. Ava Chen's kill in the second half became Millburn’s 24th point in the second set.

One of Philipov’s four kills was the match-winning point.
