    Summit NJ Labor Day Schedule: Office & Recycling Changes

    SUMMIT, NJ – The City of Summit announced office closures and schedule changes due to the Labor Day holiday:

    Recycling collection will operate on a modified schedule for the week of Monday, September 2, through Friday, September 6. There is no recycling collection on Monday, September 2; all collections for the week will be picked up the next day and adhere to the following modified schedule:

    Monday collection moves to Tuesday, September 3.

    Tuesday collection moves to Wednesday, September 4.

    Wednesday collection moves to Thursday, September 5.

    Thursday collection moves to Friday, September 6.

    Friday collection moves to Saturday, September 7.

    Recycling items should be placed at the curb by 6 a.m. the morning of residents' pickup. Summit residents should use the SeeClickFix app or the Report a Concern module on the city website to report missed pickups. Trash collection is unaffected and will operate on a regular schedule the week of September 2. More information on trash and recycling is available at www.cityofsummit.org/recycling .

    City offices will be closed on Monday, September 2. Monday, September 2, is a parking holiday in Summit with no fees required for on-street parking or parking in municipal lots and garages.

    Regular hours at City Hall will resume on Tuesday, September 3; municipal offices will now be open from 8:30AM to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
