The Pittsburgh Pirates had an early three-run lead but the Arizona Diamondbacks rallied for a 4-3 win at Chase Field on Friday night. Andrew McCutchen put the Pirates (52-51) ahead 3-0 in the second inning after driving in Joey Bart with a double. UPMC celebrates 175th anniversary of Passavant
This year, the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center health system is celebrating the 175th anniversary of the UPMC Passavant hospital. Founded in 1849 in the Uptown section of Pittsburgh, the first hospital — now known as UPMC Passavant-McCandless — has since moved to Babcock Road in the North Hills neighborhood, and later gained a sister location in Cranberry Township.

The Pirates announced that infielder/outfielder Ji Hwan Bae has been recalled from Triple-A Indianapolis and right-hander Hunter Stratton has been reinstated from the 15-day injured list.
