Although two-way traffic on a busy bridge in Westchester has been restored following an emergency closure prompted by a failed inspection, a ramp leading to the structure remains blocked off.

Motorists are now able to travel in both directions on the "H-Bridge" in Tarrytown, which carries Railroad Avenue over Metro-North tracks, village officials announced.

The bridge's eastbound lane was originally closed on Monday, July 15 after a failed inspection of the northeast portion of the structure.

The northeast ramp will remain closed until a repair is made, officials said.

This continues to be a developing story. Check back to Daily Voice for updates.
