32 Dogs and an Iguana Rescued from Arkabutla Home
ARKABUTLA, Miss.–Thirty-two dogs and a large iguana were rescued from a house on Prichard Rd. in Arkabutla, Saturday, say Tate County deputies. It was unclear what led to deputies getting a warrant. But they say when they got it, they served it and inside that house they found the dogs, the lizard and Tommy Dean Douglas.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — An Arkabutla man is charged after the Tate County Sheriff’s Office seized dozens of animals as part of a cruelty investigation over the weekend. The sheriff’s office said investigators executed a search warrant at a home in the 2000 block of Prichard Rd. in Arkabutla on Saturday, July 13, 2024. They said 32 dogs and a large iguana were seized and taken to the Senatobia-Tate County Animal Shelter.
