Another week of the spring high school sports season has come and gone in the Greater Taunton area.
Last week , Taunton baseball clinched its first outright Hockomock Kelley-Rex title since 2013 while Taunton boys lacrosse topped Bristol-Plymouth in an intracity showdown. Several area track athletes were crowned champions in their respective leagues, Bridgewater-Raynham boys lacrosse and Dighton-Rehoboth girls lacrosse secured their tournament spots. Bristol-Plymouth softball avenged its lone shutout loss to Greater Lowell Tech with a 6-2 win over the Gryphons in Tyngsborough.
The Taunton Daily Gazette Athlete of the Week for May 6-12 is Taunton baseball's Caden Lindskog, receiving 33% of the vote. Bridgewater-Raynham softball's Olivia Roy came in second with 25% while Bridgewater-Raynham girls lacrosse's Claire Fitzsimmons received 17% to finish third.

Morin earned the win tossing five innings giving up an unearned run on five hits while striking out 10 against North Attleboro.

Cattoggio went 1-for-4 with a pair of runs and an RBI against New Bedford.
Antonio Cirino, Bristol-Plymouth
Cirino went 2-for-5 with a pair of runs and a pair of RBIs against Southeastern.
Ben Miller, Dighton-Rehoboth
Miller went 1-for-3 with three runs and a pair of RBIs against Apponequet.
Softball
Sam Lincoln, Taunton
Lincoln earned the win, tossing a complete-game shutout giving up a pair of hits and a walk while striking out 15 and went 1-for-3 with a run and a pair of RBIs off a home run against Attleboro.
Ava Selter, Bridgewater-Raynham
Selter went 1-for-4 with a pair of runs and three RBIs off a home run against Bishop Feehan.
Isabella Torres, Bristol-Plymouth
Torres went 1-for-2 with a pair of runs and three RBIs against Old Colony.
Edy Latour, Dighton-Rehoboth
Latour earned the win tossing all seven innings giving up four runs on 11 hits and three walks while striking out five and going 2-for-3 with a pair of runs and three RBIs off a pair of home runs against Apponequet.
Boys Lacrosse
Jose Touron, Taunton
Touron had a pair of goals against Bristol-Plymouth.
Brendan Rosher, Bridgewater-Raynham
Rosher had a goal and four assists against King Philip.
Jack Swan, Dighton-Rehoboth
Swan had seven goals, an assist and eight ground balls, reaching both his 100th career point and 150th career ground ball, against Norton.
Girls Lacrosse
Cali Melo, Taunton
Melo had a hat trick and six draws against Mansfield.
Emily Keefe, Bridgewater-Raynham
Keefe had seven goals against Bishop Feehan.
Karina Bosco, Dighton-Rehoboth
Bosco had eight goals, three assists and five draws against Seekonk.
Boys Tennis
Alex Verma, Dighton-Rehoboth
Verma won third singles 6-1, 6-2 against Apponequet.
Girls Tennis
Ava Alves, Taunton
Alves won third singles 6-0, 6-0 against New Bedford.
Boys Track and Field
Dmitrius Shearrion, Taunton
Shearrion won both the 100 meter (0:11.11) and 200 meter (0:22.13) at the Hockomock League Championship.
Cole Bridges, Bridgewater-Raynham
Bridges won the mile (4:38.64) and was part of the winning 4x800 meter relay team (8:49.82) at the SEC Championship.
Braden Erlichman, Bristol-Plymouth
Erlichman won the javelin with a top throw of 144'2" at the Mercury Grand Invitational.
Joel DaSilva, Dighton-Rehoboth
DaSilva set a new school record winning the 400 meter hurdles with a personal best time of 0:58.43 and was part of the winning 4x400 meter relay team at the SCC Championship.
Girls Track and Field
Emersyn DePonte, Taunton
DePonte won both the 800 meter (2:26.08) and the mile (5:09.07, personal best) at the Hockomock League Championship.
Camden Strandberg, Bridgewater-Raynham
Strandberg won both the two mile (12:52.1) and the high jump (5') at the SEC Championship.
Zoey Onuegbu, Bristol-Plymouth
Onuegbu finished second in the 200 meter (0:26.91) and third in the 100 meter (0:13.01, personal best) at the Mercury Grand Invitational.
Mari Lavigne, Dighton-Rehoboth
Lavigne won the javelin with a personal best throw of 121'6" at the SCC Championship.
Boys Volleyball
Connar Dexter, Dighton-Rehoboth
Dexter had 10 kills and eight blocks against Nipmuc.
