TAUNTON, Mass. (WWLP) – A man from Taunton is facing several drug and firearm charges after an investigation into narcotics trafficking across two states.
According to the Massachusetts State Police, the Commonwealth Interstate Narcotics Reduction Enforcement Team investigated in May and June of this year into narcotics trafficking. The investigation revealed that 33-year-old Jason Hodo of Taunton was distributing trafficking quantities of fentanyl and cocaine in Rhode Island, Plymouth, and Bristol Counties in Massachusetts.
Warrants were then granted to search for all controlled substances at places related to Hodo. On June 5th, officers followed him in his vehicle after he left a location in Rhode Island and stopped for gas in Taunton. Officers detained Hodo and arrested him after fentanyl and cocaine were found on him. A “knock and announce” search warrants were then executed at locations in both Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
