    3 people stabbed on Paul Bunker Drive — 24-year-old Taunton man arrested. What we know

    TAUNTON — A 24-year-old Taunton man was arrested after multiple people were stabbed on Paul Bunker Drive, Taunton Police said in a written statement Tuesday afternoon.

    At around 1:20 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, Taunton Police responded to Paul Bunker Drive for reports of the stabbings, Police Chief Edward Walsh said.

    Upon arrival, officers located a 19-year-old Taunton man, a 21-year-old Taunton man and another 21-year-old Taunton man who were all suffering from stab and slash wounds. All three were transported to area hospitals for treatment.

    The suspect was also transported to an area hospital to be treated for minor injuries, police said. Charges are pending for the 24-year old Taunton man that was placed under arrest. Police did not release his name at this time or specify the charges.

    It is believed that the individuals are all known to each other and that the incident was not random, police said.

    Police do not believe there is any active threat to the public at this time, according to the written statement.

    The investigation is active and ongoing.
