Dennis Bays
Dennis Bays, 69, son of the late Marshall Grant Bays and Margaret Herron Bays, was born Jan. 12, 1955, in Taylor County and he died Thursday, June 20, 2024, in Campbellsville. Survivors include one son and two daughters, Grant Bays and Megan Bell of Campbellsville and Amanda Ellington of Berea; and seven grandchildren.

Convicted felon faces new burglary allegation
A 27-year-old Campbellsville man was indicted during the June term of the Taylor County grand jury for three offenses related to an April 6 break-in. Matthew Wayne Cornett, who is being held in the Marion County Detention Center, is charge with third-degree burglary and second offense, first-degree possession of a controlled substance related to methamphetamine. Both charges are Class D felonies punishable by one to five years in prison if convicted.
