Jeff Baldwin CEO of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Bloomington announces his retirement
BLOOMINGTON – Jeff Baldwin, CEO of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Bloomington, has announced he will retire in December 2024. Baldwin began his service to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Bloomington as Executive Director in 2006. During his 18 years of leadership, the Club has grown from having 2 Club locations serving 180 youth per day to now having 4 locations and serving over 700 kids per day across the organization. An additional 1700 youth are also served annually through Lemonade Day, the Father-Daughter Dance, Hoops Hysteria, and Camp Rock- all of which were established or enhanced under Jeff’s leadership.

Community of caring: Light for Levi Foundation provides hope, assistance for brain injury treatment
Lining up with the first day of summer, the second Light for Levi Foundation lemonade stand set up shop June 20 in the Village in Zionsville. The Light for Levi Foundation was created following the near-fatal drowning of twins Levi and Lainey Chisholm, who were only 22 months old when they experienced a tragic drowning accident Nov. 28, 2020. Lainey made a full recovery, but the accident left Levi with a severe hypoxic brain injury — a brain injury that results when oxygen is unable to get to the brain.

High-speed chase on I-94 ends with 2 arrests, charges in NW Indiana
PORTER, Ind. - A high-speed chase on I-94 ended with the arrest of two men Saturday in northwest Indiana. At approximately 1:30 a.m., an Indiana State Trooper observed a gray Toyota SUV traveling eastbound on I-94 near the Porter/LaPorte County line at an "extremely high rate of speed," with neither headlights nor tail lights on, police said. The vehicle was clocked at over 110 mph as the state trooper attempted to catch up, but the SUV continued to pull away, passing another vehicle on the shoulder.
