Parkites share favorite memories of Tina Lewis at celebration of life
Dozens of Parkites gathered in front of Miners Hospital Sunday morning to celebrate the life and legacy of Tina Lewis. From the time she arrived in the 1970s, Lewis played a pivotal role in breathing new life into Park City. She served on the city council, worked to bring the Sundance Film Festival and the 2002 Winter Olympics to the town, helped preserve historic Park City, and served as the first full-time director of the Park City Arts Festival, now known as the Kimball Arts Festival.
High Times at High West
Utah’s High West Distillery moved production operations from its downtown Park City gastropub to a state of the art distillery in nearby Wanship. The mountaintop distillery is producing award-winning whiskies and equally winning awards for its food and bar programs. This week, High West celebrated its annual Protect The West gala to raise money for three regional charities, and raised $100,000. We’ll visit the distillery and talk with Master Distiller Brendan Coyle on this week’s WhiskyCast In-Depth. Be a Little Bit Naughty at Lehi Art’s MATILDA
LEHI — Growing up, the books of Roald Dahl and the imagination behind them were very important in my household. Making a drive to Lehi to see Matilda the Musical at the Lehi Arts Council in Friday traffic may seem a bit crazy for a Northern Utahn, but since this is the year anniversary of my mother’s death and I have vivid memories of her reading the book to me, I take any opportunity I can to see the musical with music and lyrics by Tim Minchin and a book by Dennis Kelly. The story follows young, brilliant Matilda, played the night I saw the show by Alicia Wright, as she struggles with the trauma of parents who do not love her, a principal who mistreats her, and powers that she cannot understand.

All-City Honors – Softball: Spring 2024
Emerson Fuller (Sr. Lehi; P): “Emerson was a great leader for us this year and she will be missed tremendously,” said Coach Tim Kennedy. She had a 2.62 ERA, which was the lowest in 6A and the third-lowest in LHS history. She also had a combined no-hitter, 20 starts and 10 complete games, 144 strikeouts in 139 innings, and a 14-9 record (61%). She earned 44 career wins, which is the second-most in LHS history (51). Fuller batted .337 with eight hits for extra bases and 23 RBI. She will be heading to the College of Southern Idaho to further her athletic and educational career.
