    Annual Main Street Moments event to return to Tazewell County

    TAZEWELL, VA (WVNS) — The annual Main Street Moments event will start in Tazewell County on July 26, 2024.

    The Main Street Moments event will begin on Friday, July 26, 2024 with a performance from The Best of Times band from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Altizer Stage on Tazewell’s Main Street, as well as a variety of vendors and a bounce house for children to enjoy located in the National Bank parking lot.

    Additional activities will include a vendor fair, which will open on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. and vendors will be able to be found along the street from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

    In addition to the bounce house, there will also be an obstacle course in the National Bank parking lot for younger children, and older kids will have an inflatable obstacle course by the Commonwealth Attorney’s office, as well as an inflatable axe throwing in Thompson and Litton’s parking lot.

    Further entertainment will include events throughout the day on Saturday, July 27, 2024, starting at 10:30 a.m. with Party Magic by magician Wes Iseli, 12:00 p.m. with music by Justin Baldwin, 4:00 p.m. with music by Chase Bowman and Skyline, and 7:00 p.m. with number one bluegrass and country recording artist Billy Droze and Kentucky Blue.

    Temporary burn ban goes in to effect for Tazewell County

    Beginning at 4:30 p.m., a cruise-in will occur on Main Street, and anyone who wants to participate can meet at 4:00 p.m. in the old Ramey parking lot to line up for a parade through town.

    The cars involved in the cruise-in will park on the west end of Main Street, and a foam party will be held for the children that attend at the east end of Main Street once all the cars for the cruise-in arrive.

    Various businesses along Main Street will be open for attendees to visit, as well as multiple vendors that offer items such as food and handmade objects.

    A map will be available at the event as a way for attendees to find specific vendors, store, or entertainment. More information can be found here .
