Improving their record to 21-7, the Eagles take on No. 4 Jupiter in the Region 3-7A final at 4 p.m. Friday at St. Lucie West Centennial High School. The Warriors advanced after upsetting top-seed Wellington 2-0.

John Carroll trailed 1-0 before taking control in the fourth. Westminster Academy responded with four runs in the bottom of the fifth but never got closer.

Sophia Loreto and Makayla Ortiz delivered the biggest blows in the critical inning. Loreto came through with a three-run home run while Ortiz also went deep with a two-run shot. Ortiz was one of three players with two hits, joining Mikale Lemons and Briley Orton, who added a double.

The Rams will head farther south in the Region 4-2A final as they will play at 4 p.m. Friday at No. 1 Miami Christian. The Victors advanced thanks to a 6-4 win over No. 4 Florida Christian. This will be John Carroll’s first regional final appearance since 2021.
