Florida primary Election Day 2024: See results for Martin, St. Lucie, Indian River county

Across the Treasure Coast Tuesday, voters were making important decisions about what candidates would move on to the Nov. 5 general election and, in some cases, who would wrap up their campaigning and immediately claim election to their new terms in office.

Sheriff's races in Indian River and St. Lucie counties were among the highest-profile contests; Indian River County's two School Board races were the region's most hotly contested school elections; and Martin County Commissioner Doug Smith, a 24-year veteran of the commission, was running to face a write-in candidate in November.
