Hurricane Milton: Major hurricane forces canceled, rescheduled games on the Treasure Coast

Unsurprisingly, Hurricane Milton has impacted the Treasure Coast's high school sports schedule.

TCPalm is monitoring cancellations, postponements and rescheduled games as the major hurricane creeps toward Florida's Gulf Coast and is expected to make landfall on Wednesday.

As of 2 p.m. Monday, Okeechobee, Martin, St. Lucie and Indian River counties will close their schools and can cancel all afterschool activities on Tuesday through Thursday.

Below is a list of the Week 8 high school football slate, along with games that have changed dates.

Martin Bowl 41 - South Fork at Martin County

-Originally scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Thursday

-Now scheduled for 6 p.m. Monday

District 13-4A - Jensen Beach at John Carroll Catholic

-Originally scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday

-Now scheduled for 6 p.m. Monday

District 11-7A - Treasure Coast at Fort Pierce Central

-Originally scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday

-Now scheduled for 6 p.m. Monday

St. Edward's at Faith Christian

-Originally scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday

-Now scheduled for 7 p.m. Monday

District 13-4A - Port St. Lucie at Okeechobee

-Originally scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday

-Now scheduled for 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 21

Vero Beach at Rockledge

-Originally scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday

-Canceled with no makeup date

District 13-5A - Fort Pierce Westwood at Heritage

-Originally scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday
