{KXLG – Watertown, SD} Unless the Watertown City Council decides against approving the license, alcohol should be available to purchase at Watertown Shamrocks games. The Watertown Board of Adjustment considered a conditional use request on July 18, 2024, to sell alcoholic beverages at the Prairie Lakes Ice Arena. The request, submitted by the Watertown Parks, Recreation & Forestry Department, seeks approval for a bar or tavern within the arena’s existing concession stand.

Larchwood man arrested on charge of OWI
LARCHWOOD—A 21-year-old Larchwood man was arrested about 12:40 a.m. Sunday, July 21, on a charge of first-offense operating while under the influence. The arrest of Jackson Randal Kramer stemmed from the stop of a 2014 Ford Focus on Highway 9 about a mile south of Larchwood for failure to yield the right of way to an oncoming vehicle and for crossing the centerline numerous times, according to the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office.
