Two suspects are behind bars after an investigation revealed that two children were exposed to narcotics at their residence.

The suspects were arrested on charges of injury to a child, endangering a child, possession of a controlled substance, tampering with a witness, and giving false information to a peace officer.

The ongoing investigation could produce more charges.

The investigation was launched in reference to a child abuse case.

The allegations involved two teenage children being exposed to methamphetamine at a residence, resulting in one of the children being hospitalized as a result of the exposure.

Warrants for injury to a child and endangering a child were issued.

Upon the issuance of the warrants, Deputies were able to safely take both suspects into custody without incident.

During this apprehension, a search of the suspects’ residence was conducted in which more than 10 grams of crystal methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia was located.

Both suspects received the additional criminal charge of possession of a controlled substance.

Following their arrest, a Deputy learned that the suspects had actually attempted to coerce one of the victims into recanting their statement. This led to two more charges to both suspects of tampering with a witness and false statement to a peace officer.

Child Protective Services is also involved in this case.
