It has been hot and the temperatures look to continue to be hot in the weeks to come. I pray you all are drinking plenty of water and staying hydrated in this heat.

Katy and I worked the Teague 4th of July Rodeo concession stand again this past weekend. We have grown up attending the rodeo. It is a great tradition for Teague as this was the 94th Annual 4th of July Teague Rodeo.

I can’t believe that summer has gone by so fast. Before we know it, school will be starting up in a few weeks.

I have already attended some workshops and done some online training. Next week, I have four days of workshops. I hope to get a little bit of rest before we head back to school.

Next weekend, July 19-20, will be the Fuzzy Peach Festival at the Freestone County Courthouse on Friday night and on Saturday. It will be a fun event for everyone to attend so make sure to stop by for some fun in Freestone County.

This week’s Bible verse Jeremiah 17:7. It says, “But, blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.”

Life can be difficult at times for sure. Life isn’t easy. However, our trust must remain in the Lord because we know that he has a plan for us. Our exact plans may not work out in our timing, but God will provide a way for us and in the end they will even be better then what we had planned.

This world does not have anything for us that will fulfill us for eternity. The only thing that is everlasting is God’s love for us and that is what we hold on to daily. We are so thankful for God and all of his promises for us.

My prayer for us this week is that we will always trust in the Lord and not the things of this world. Until next week, make him famous in all that you do!
