Pittsburgh Welcomes Exciting New Pub to Greenfield

    2023-10-28

Pittsburgh's Greenfield is about to get a new addition to its vibrant pub scene. The "Midnight Whistler," set to replace the well-known Hough’s Taproom, is gearing up for its grand opening.

But what's in a name? The "Midnight Whistler" isn't just a catchy title; it's a nod to the legendary Bigfoot, and patrons can expect to see a Bigfoot head adorning the pub's wall.

The inspiration for this unique name traces back to a beer brewed at Necromancer Brewing in Ross, another establishment owned by Ben Butler. Butler shared, “Midnight Whistler is a nod to Bigfoot. It sounded like a good name for an English pub.”

The anticipation is palpable as the team has been hard at work over the past few months, giving the Greenfield space a fresh makeover. This includes the installation of a state-of-the-art draft system boasting 18 taps. Visitors can look forward to a diverse range of beverages, including a few guest taps and cocktail options.

    Your Thoughts
The opening of "Midnight Whistler" is a testament to Pittsburgh's ever-evolving culinary and pub scene. As we welcome this new establishment, we're reminded of the city's rich tapestry of flavors, stories, and experiences. What are your thoughts on this new addition?
