COLUMBIA — South Carolina women's basketball coach Dawn Staley revealed Thursday she was in Chicago for the final night of the 2024 Democratic National Convention. Throughout the evening, Staley shared pictures on social media of her and various attendees, including Tim Walz, who is running with current Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential race.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. --- Naturally, a heavyweight matchup between two of the Tar Heel State's top high school programs featured major UNC targets -- eight to be exact. That matchup resulted in Weddington High beating Providence Day School, 13-7. Zaid Lott, a mid-three-star 2026 quarterback who committed to the Tar Heels in June, led the parade of UNC recruits. He completed 15 of his 27 passes for 138 yards.
Limitless Library Project serves campers at Camp Cole
Local nonprofit Limitless Purpose has established a Limitless Library at Camp Cole, which serves people with illnesses, disabilities and life challenges. This summer, each of the 700 campers was able to select at least one book as they were leaving camp. The Limitless Library features a wide range of books on a variety of topics, providing something appealing regardless of reading level or interests.
