BrucePac, an Oregon-based food manufacturer, has issued a recall for over 9,000 pounds of ready-to-eat meat and poultry products due to potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes . The affected items were produced between June 19, 2024, to October 8, 2024., and distributed to retail locations nationwide. Products subject to recall include various smoked chicken breast fillets and cooked beef products.

Consumers are advised to check their refrigerators and discard any affected items to avoid potential illness. No confirmed reports of illness have been associated with the recall thus far. Listeria can lead to severe infections, particularly in vulnerable populations, including pregnant women, older adults, and people with weakened immune systems.

The USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) discovered the problem during routine product testing, which revealed potential contamination. Consumers who have purchased the recalled items should either return them to the place of purchase or dispose of them immediately.

BrucePac is cooperating fully with the recall, and the FSIS continues to monitor the situation closely.

Details of this recall were updated to include the product list of items with a best by date from 6/19/25-10/8/25.
